Mainzer Kaffeemanufaktur in Mainz

As a big fan of high-quality espresso, I came here specifically today. The staff was relatively friendly, the restaurant attractive. The most important thing was unfortunately disappointing: there was only one type of espresso and it tasted very thin, hardly aromatic, nothing special. Too bad. To stir the small paper cup, I was given a long latte macciato spoon and, in keeping with the current corona pandemic, a sugar shaker that many had already touched before me. What a shame, this experience.

Great advice! Very friendly and accommodating. Was there to check for some decent espresso beans and was not disappointed. Conclusion: beans top, just like the advice - I'm looking forward to being able to sit there comfortably after Corona!

Today the owner threatened me to call the police. Occasion: The shop was signposted for 6 p.m., but I should have been paid shortly before 5 p.m. Since I only had one coffee and card payment is only possible from € 10 (didn't have any cash with me), I pointed out that I would like to order something because I - legitimately - assumed that the opening hours would be longer. Owner replied that he did not have to justify when it was closing. I then refused to pay € 10. I wasn't intimidated by his threat either, which is why the coffee was ultimately “on the house”. Very outrageous and not worth visiting again despite good coffee.

Super nice coffee with a great atmosphere, perfect for reading or having a nice conversation while enjoying great coffee. There are also outside seating areas perfect to enjoy spring and summer and a great fresh selection of cakes with delicious cakes. You will be given good advice on the wide range of beans and the taste and needs of the buyer will be catered for. You are always greeted in a friendly manner and the service is great. A cozy place where you like to spend your time. I can only recommend.

I buy coffee there for my portafilter machine and was happy to be able to sample what I drink at home - then change the variety again and finally find the coffee I like. Now over a year absolutely the same in the taste, I am thrilled. Even the small talk when buying is entertaining and I can only recommend the Mainzer Kaffeemanufaktur.
